Arche Hotel - Vierzon

Staff here are really friendly and helpful, which I liked. They even offer a free wake-up call service and ironing options. the room here looks great, stylish, and most importantly, super clean. the shower is spot-on too. When it comes to breakfast, there's a good variety to choose from. the pastries and meats were absolutely fantastic 🥐.

The hotel is well located as a stop for people driving from Brittany or Normandy to the south of France as Vierzon is roughly half-way from the ports of Cherbourg or Roscoff. Its situation in the middle of town makes it easy to get to restaurants (there's an excellent pizzeria called La Scala just around the corner) or have a stroll. The buffet breakfast costs an extra EUR8/person and while some have criticized this as expensive, we found a good selection of food including some excellent croissants, so felt that the breakfast was more than acceptable. The hotel offers free underground parking, which is also a plus if you travel with a lot of belongings in your car. Free wi-fi is always appreciated.

Some will not appreciate the decor of the public areas of the hotel, which is definitely focused on old American films (Marilyn Monroe is a particular favourite), but no doubt it's a whim of the owners that you can either take or leave. The rooms are small - we paid for a Prestige room (eur75) and didn't have much space, possibly because the hotel had squeezed an extra fold-down bed into the room. Separate (small) bathroom and toilet could be a squeeze for some. However, the view from the room was very nice and made up for the lack of space.

Clean tidy, air con rooms, inexpensive, and friendly staff. The secure underground car park was a must for holidaymakers, not sure weather you could get a top box under though.

8 Euro for a very limited breakfast, seemed expensive, could do with more choice.

The breakfast here includes fresh bread, fruit, cheese, meats, and pastries which are great.

Super security, excellent staff and a really friendly holtel.

The room was clean and comfortable with great views of the canal and bridges. We particularly liked the fact that the room we used had 2 toilets and a wet room rather than a bath or shower cubicle. The parking was secure and underground.

The breakfast was mediocre and expensive at 8euros.

Lovely central location with good views from room. Free wifi worked well. Walking distance to shops and restaurants.

Open plan bathroom (Italian style?) with no shower curtain meant water was all over the floor and toilet- somewhat inconvenient. No kettle to make a simple cup of tea or coffee.

We really appreciated the hospitality and kindness of the personnel. The hotel is very quiet with a very nice decoration devoted to movies actors

Gret location if you are travelling south. The restuarant was brilliant with suprisingly good food and reasonably priced.

The previous ocupants of our room were obviously heavy smokers.

I recently stayed at this hotel and was pleasantly surprised by several aspects. the attention to detail in the decor was impressive. The public rooms had a unique midwest style that was very well executed, giving the hotel a modern and comfortable ambiance. Secondly, the rooms were spacious with comfortable beds and newly renovated bathrooms. It made for a relaxing stay after a long day of exploring. Lastly, the location was convenient, being situated near a supermarket and bus station. This made it easy to grab any essentials I needed and to navigate the city without any hassle.

My experience at this hotel was fantastic and there was not a single aspect that I felt could be improved upon.

Quite nice hotel, the dinner at the restaurant was a good surprise with very tasty local food.
